Calling all superheroes!

Every year LAM Action aims to raise £75,000 to support women with LAM and their families and to continue to fund much needed research into the condition. Fundraising through sponsored events is a central part of achieving this goal and we now offer places in more events than ever before, but we need your help to fill them.

Ride London/Surrey 100 is a 100 mile cycle starting at the Olympic Park and heading through the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty before finishing on the Mall. 86,000 people entered the ballot to take part, not all were lucky, but LAM Action has guaranteed places for those who are fit enough to complete the course in under 8 hours.

Our fund raising target is £800 per rider and we will supply them with a LAM Action cycling shirt and all the back-up we can muster. This year’s Ride London/Surrey 100 takes place on Sunday 29 July.

The London Marathon is the pinnacle of LAM Action’s fund raising events. Taking place every April it follows an iconic route past London’s landmarks and for many runners can be a life-changing experience. We ask our runners to raise £2000 for LAM Action and normally have supporters out on the streets and at the finish to say “Thank you” to all our participants.

Remember it is only through fundraising like this that LAM Action is able to continue its work – so have a think about relatives or friends who might want to take part, or approach your local running or cycling club to ask if they would hold a ballot to win a charity place.
